Starting stages of your planning to South Florida
when traveling to south Florida, the (3) first musts of securing your trip are airfare (if needed), lodging, and tickets for the game.

1 — Airport
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
FLL is my personal favorite choice when traveling to and from the south florida area. MIA can be overwhelming and pbi is a tad bit distance away. fll has grown tremendously throughout the last few years & has added tons of destinations. tsa lines are usually manageable, parking garages on-site and walkable to terminal, and easy rideshare options. lots of direct flights from across the us and has 4 terminals.
distance from hardrock stadium: 20 minutes (17 miles)
distance from fort lauderdale beach: 12 minutes (6 miles)

Miami International Airport
MIA would be your second best option when flying into south Florida. it is a major airport with lots of options and often cheaper flights than fort lauderdale. parking garages & ride share options are available. it is also ideal if you want a “miami” experience and plan on spending time in miami beach/south beach and the keys. traffic can get rough by the airport so be sure to give yourself plenty of time when traveling to/from mia. there are lots of airport hotels with shuttle options as well.
