GAME DAY

What’s Football without Tailgating?

SO IT’S GAME DAY - BUT YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START WITH PARKING, TAILGATING, FOOD/DRINKS? DON’T GO INTO IT CLUELESS - CHECK OUT MY TIPS TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR GAME DAY EXPERIENCE

TAILGATING

Tailgating is a big part of the experience. Maybe I am biased, but we sure do it the best. In fact, it is through tailgating that I’ve met some of the greatest Miami Dolphins fans and friends.

Tailgating is really broken into (2) sections - an East Side and a West Side. My starting stomping grounds were always on the East Side, specifically E12 & E32 (Orange Lot) . E12 is where you’ll find a lot of familiar names and faces that you’ll recognize from social media.

And I promise you that we’re just as awesome in person as we are behind the accounts. Don’t be a stranger to the West Side either - W22 will show you a good time too!

Tailgating 101 with us - As far as what to expect from the tailgating:

  • Just because you don’t park in the specific section doesn't mean you can’t come over and tailgate with us. Get dropped off, park wherever you can and walk on over.

  • No we aren’t going to charge you to come party with us - there are no wristbands or fees. Come as you are & have a blast!

  • Bring your own food and drinks - anything you like. Mostly everyone is drinking something and chances are once you start to mingle with us, you’ll be offered a shot or two. But if you have a specialty food or drink - bring it :)

  • Don’t bring an expensive cooler - there is nowhere to store it besides your car. Styrofoam coolers are your best bet and fill it with ice.

  • Music and entertainment will be provided. It’s like a street party. Don’t be shy. Totally cool to come up to any of us and introduce yourself! We LOVE you, I promise.

There is a Walmart right across the street from the stadium. Let this place be your best friend. Great to pick up last minute snacks and to fill up your cooler/bag.

Food & Drinks at the Stadium

I personally am not a big fan of the food at the Hard Rock. Marlins Park (LoanDepot Park) does it better in my opinion. And on top of it, there aren’t really any other food options that are walkable from the stadium. But there are MANY OPTIONS within the stadium. First thing to note - the stadium is CASHLESS. Meaning leave your cash, dinero, pesos at home. Credit/Debit Card only.

Now chances are you are going to be hungry and you’re going to want to eat. Concession lines get out of control so don’t wait until halftime to refill on beer or get food. I do like the braided pretzels and you can get your burgers, hotdogs, adult beverages at really any food stand. Some concessions to check out based on level:

100 Level

  • Bru’s Room - Section 102

  • Cafe Versailles (for your Cuban fix) - Section 120

  • Shula Burger - Sections 114 & 142

  • Sloppy Joes - Section 145

  • Sweet Spot - Section 154

Club 200 Level

  • Cheeseburger Baby - Section 233

  • Endzone Bar - Section 229/Section 235

  • Mojo Donuts - Section 217

  • Seafood Republic - Section 244

  • Shula Burger - Section 222/Section 250

  • Sweet Cream - Section 217/Section 245

300 Level

  • Benihana - Section 350

  • Cafe Versailles - Section 347

  • Menchies - Section 341

  • Shula Burger - Section 345

Now after the game, you’re going to be hungry. This is where I recommend checking out a restaurant/bar outside of the stadium area. Check out some of my favorites here: Where to Eat — 305 Sports Babe

Parking at/around the Stadium & Transportation

if you don’t have a pre-paid parking pass, uber and lyft are your best options! all of the lots at the stadium are cashless & require that you have a pass beforehand.

If you do have a pass - here is the breakdown of lots per color. i am a fan of the yellow, closest to the turnpike because it’s the easiest to get in and out of. orange and blue is where the main tailgates happen, but you’ll also be able to find some smaller ones in the yellow lots as well.

You can also park at calder casino which is walkable from the stadium. you’ll have to purchase a drink or two there before hand - and don’t get sucked into the slots and miss kick off. just note that there won’t be any tailgating going on in that lot.
