Let me tell you about the real south florida. What we like to do when we’re not cheering on our team …….
Places & things to do in South Florida
-
Seminole Hardrock Hotel & Casino - Hollywood
Feeling lucky? Lady luck on your side? Hardrock Hotel & Casino’s newest creation in Hollywood, FL is calling your name. It features 13 restaurants, 20 bars, a 21,000 m² concert venue, 2787 m² casino and a 4.5 acre lagoon-style outdoor pool. Definitely a South Florida entertainment must.
-
Lauderdale by the Sea
A hidden gem but if you’re staying in Fort Lauderdale, I highly suggest taking the 10 minute drive north to this seaside area. The pier is gorgeous & you can fish off of it and they have some awesome bars/restaurants like Aruba Beach Cafe! Everything is walkable too.
-
Florida Everglades
How adventurous are you really feeling? Alligators anyone? This is a true Florida experience and it’s hella fun! Take an airboat ride to explore Florida’s nature and creatures. Yes, you’ll see them and boy are they huge! It’ll get your heart racing!
-
Bar Hop in Wynwood
Wynwood is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida. Wynwood is known for being an entertainment district, with artwork, restaurants, breweries, clothing stores, dance venues, among other retail options. Tons to do! Formerly an industrial district, the area is now known for the murals that cover the walls of many of the buildings.
-
Key Largo
The Florida Keys are on a different level and we are so fortunate to have them right here. Now don’t be fooled. Key West IS 3 hours away but the first key, Key Largo is stunning! About 45 minutes south of Miami, you’ll surely feel like you aren’t in the U.S. anymore. Caribbean life with lots of great bars and water sports!
-
Sawgrass Mills Mall
Looking for an ultimate shopping experience? Shop your heart out at the Sawgrass Mills Mall - an international shoppers dream. So, so many stores that you can literally get lost in it. Truly something for everyone. You will not go home empty handed.
-
Hollywood Beach & Boardwalk
Hollywood Beach & Boardwalk gives you the South Florida beach life without the South Beach prices. Lots of great beach bars and restaurants, tons of parking options, and the beach is gorgeous. Capone Flik & Margaritaville are a must!
-
Bayside Marketplace
A vibrant waterfront mall in downtown Miami—and the city’s most-visited attraction—sits above Biscayne Bay and features many shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The open-air market has more than 100 shops ranging from apparel to bath products to electronics, and often live performers are on hand. Right next to the FTX arena so be sure to catch a Heat game! Boat charters and tours leave from here.
-
Gulfstream Park & Casino
ulfstream Park is a racetrack and county-approved casino in Hallandale Beach, Florida. During its annual meet, spanning December through October, it’s among the most important venues for horse racing in the United States. Tons of great restaurants. I’m obsessed with the roulette!
